Project Overview

Our client is a gaming startup that approached us to develop a highly engaging match-3 puzzle game. The client mentioned his requirement as something similar to Candy Crush Saga. As we all know, the Candy Crush game has been our forever love for most of us because this game never gets boring. Hence, our client got the idea for Unity 3d game development. Their goal was to create a long-lasting, player-friendly game with strategic monetization to maximize engagement and profitability.

The game concept includes a magical fantasy world, where players can roam around multiple themed lands by solving puzzles, and by matching colorful gems, and candies. Other than this, the game includes regular content updates, special events, and dynamic challenges to keep players engaged.

To keep the game more user-friendly, it uses Unity’s LiveOps tools to analyze player behavior and then optimize the game according to player's preferences.

Key Features & Highlights

Game Entry & Player Registration

Players can join via email, social media accounts (Google, Facebook), or as guests, or else continue with the previous one if they are already a player. Players can customize their avatars, names, and progress tracking.

Classic Swap Mechanics

Players need to swap adjacent tiles to match three or more of the same type. In some levels, players need to think and set a number of moves or time constraints.

Obstacle Challenges

Easy games are boring, hence we added a little bit of complexity at some levels, like Sticky tiles, ice blocks, and chain-locked candies. We added special tiles and combos like Color Bombs, Lightning Strikes, and Magic Swaps.

Progressive Level Design & Themed Worlds

We added three themes i.e., Mystic Forest, Crystal Caverns, and Lava Kingdom. Mystic Forest is a fog-covered tile; the player here needs to guess the right match to reveal the board. Crystal Caverns is covered with ice, the player needs to use strategy to break it. Next Lava Kingdom, players need to defuse the bomb before it explodes.

Multiplayer & Competitive Elements

Players can send links through social media or contact numbers to join their friends to have competitive play. Players can see their daily and weekly rankings and rewards for top players.

Daily & Weekly Challenges

We added daily /weekly challenges that allows players to earn bonus or rewards points to restore their failed levels. Players can watch 1 or 3 ads for extra moves or bonus rewards.
